Youth Leader | Arts & Culture Pillar [Jan 2025 – Dec 2025]
- Contribute to Arts & Culture Pillar as a Youth Leader. Arts & Culture Pillar encompasses music, creative and cultural activities.
- Collaborate with 4 fellow Youth Leaders to plan and organise meaningful activities for the pillar.
-
Spearheaded the development of two comprehensive handbooks with a fellow YL, while collaboratively guiding an intern for 5 months. Reduced onboarding time for new YLs by 70%. Established a scalable and standardised onboarding framework for new YLs and future interns while strengthening continuity and knowledge transfer. Iteratively gathered and integrated feedback from key pillar and organisational stakeholders, fostering cross-functional buy-in and increasing the organisation’s overall efficiency.
-
Co-led Zen drumming and vocal performance teams with 1 YL for Vesak Day 2025. We worked closely with 1 staff member to ensure smooth rehearsal operations and uphold the musical standards set. We fostered a supportive and encouraging environment where all members felt comfortable to express themselves and contribute meaningfully. Seeing each member’s growth from start to end has been incredibly fulfilling. Through this experience, I honed my ability to be a present listener and empathise with others. I also learned the importance of meeting people where they are.
